Production and development[edit]

Production began in August 2009, but in March 2010 Studio 100 announced that the series was sold to Nickelodeon in the United States.^[5] The series was filmed in the summer of 2010 in Liverpool and was first broadcast in the United States on 1 January 2011.^[6]

The series is the first original series produced for the flagship U.S. Nickelodeon channel to be produced outside of North America, and is Nickelodeon's first original drama series since the 2000–2002 series Caitlin's Way. The series is structured in a different manner from other live-action television series in that each episode consists of two eleven-minute segments, a format commonly used in half-hour animated series (although the events of each subsequent segment pick up from the events of the previous segment); and the series' episodes are formatted to be broadcast in the five-day-a-week format that is typically common with soap operas.^[7]

On 10 March 2011, Nickelodeon confirmed that they will make a new season of House of Anubis at its annual Upfront presentation to advertisers and media.^[8] On 29 June, Entertainment Weekly reported that Nickelodeon had confirmed a second season of House of Anubis and that production would begin on 21 July 2011. A total of 45 half-hour episodes (90, 15-minute episodes) were aired in 2012.

On 16 April 2012, a third season was confirmed by Nickelodeon and Lime Pictures. Nathalia Ramos (who plays Nina Martin) will not be returning for the third season so she can focus on finishing college.^[9] Eugene Simon (who plays Jerome Clarke) confirmed that filming of the third season will begin in the summer of 2012.^[10]

On 16 July 2012, Nickelodeon (UK & Ireland) announced on their Twitter page and the website's blog that filming of season 3 will begin this month.^[11]

On 16 July 2012, Bobby Lockwood (who plays Mick Campbell) announced on his Twitter page he will not be returning for the third season but, announced he has a new show coming out this autumn called Wolfblood on CBBC.^[12]

On 16 July 2012, it was announced on the House of Anubis Facebook page that there will be a new character named KT Rush, who will be played by Alexandra Shipp.

On 26 July 2012, it was also announced on the Facebook page that there will be another new character named Willow, who will be played by Louisa Connolly-Burnham.

The series was filmed in Liverpool with Ye Priory Court standing in for Anubis House^[13] (as of July 2013 it is up for sale), and Peckforton Castle Lodge, located in Chester, standing in for the gatehouse.^[14]

History of the show:

Anubis was a jackal-headed, god of death. Even though legends say he never died, he did. When he died he left his power to a man worthy of the power. The one who possesses this power now is a person that is alive today but I'm the only one who knows him. It is said also that when Anubis was in midlife he wrote the Book of Old(Isis), which contained a recipe for a thing called the Elixer. The said Elixer is supposed to give the drinker eternal life(immortality). Two of the ingredients are Water of Life and Tears of Gold. The mask of Anubis is said to cry the Tears of Gold. The mask of Anubis has an ancient writing on it called the Hai-Daie spell, which will destroy the world if Senkhara says the spell. I believe Senkhara isn't evil, I believe the mask is so she can help Anubis.
I had a dream where Senkhara ordered me to find the mask or die, but the thing is, it wasn't a dream. I must play an ancient game called Senet. If anyone can find the rules please send me a message. I may die trying to get the mask, but I will die knowing I tried.
Senkhara is the spirit of a forgotten Egyptian ruler. Senkhara disliked the Song of Hathor. She had killed King Tutankhamen. Her tomb was empty when found and all that was left was her crown. She said her enemies would never forget her even after she had died.
Anubis was also referred to as Ienpw, Anpu, Anup, or Wip. He is known as the child of Nepthys and Set or Osiris. Anubis's mother exposed her son and instead of him dying, Isis found him and raised Anubis as his own. Anubis became an attendant to Isis, and Anubis may have been identified with Horus

History - Whats House of Anubis
                    ~ House of Anubis is a jointly Nickelodeon British, American, and Belgian mystery television series based on the Dutch-Belgian television series Het Huis Anubis aired in the Netherlands and Belgium. The series was created by Hans Bourlon and Gert Verhulst and premiered on Nickelodeon on New Year's Day 2011 in the United States and on 25 February 2011 in the United Kingdom. The series is the first Nickelodeon series to be filmed overseas, the first soap opera created by Nickelodeon and the channel's first soap opera aimed at children and teenagers (sixth in Latin America). As of 25 February, the program will be broadcast on TeenNick.

                Sibuna is a small group of Anubis residents, founded by Amber Millington. However, there are 2 other original members, Fabian Rutter and Nina Martin. Its name is Anubis spelled backwards, most likely honoring the house.   Edison "Eddie" Miller is one of the main characters of House of Anubis. He first appeared on the show in the Season 2 episodeHouse of Who? / House of Frauds and is currently one of the two Americans residing in Anubis House, the other being KT Rush. At first, he was a flirt until he started crushing on Patricia Williamson.     Nina Martin was the main protagonist of House of Anubis fromSeason 1 to Season 2. She was born and raised in the United States of America. Her parents died in a car accident and she started living with her grandmother, who is more frequently known as Gran. She soon started going to an unnamed boarding school in England and began residing in Anubis House. There, she met her two best friends Fabian Rutter and Amber Millington.  Patricia Williamson is one of the major characters of the show. She is best friends with Joy Mercer, but also pretty close to all of her housemates.   Fabian Rutter is one of the main characters of the show living in the Anubis House.   Amber Millington  was a resident of Anubis House. She follows the stereotype of 'dumb blonde', but is smarter than anyone gives her credit for.   Kara Tatianna "KT" Rush is a new House of Anubis student and new member of Sibuna.    Alfred Marmaduke "Alfie" Lewis is one of the main characters on House of Anubis. He's the clown of the gang who loves to play tricks on people along side his best friend, Jerome Clarke .

Anubis House is one of the main locations where House of Anubis takes place. This is where all the Anubis students reside, and a prime location for the mysteries. It is located at the Allerton Towers in Liverpool, England. The front door doesn't really exist, it's fake.

Story + Twists

Once in day time the night before christmas, lived a billionared family. It was the browne's family and onced lived the queen of ice which was named Irina. That night when they were about to decorate the dining room, everyone in that dining room felt very cold except Rebecca, and her siblings. They weren't cold because they were in their rooms and when `Rebecca heard a cry for help fromher parents, her and her siblings were rushing to the dining room and saw the furious Ice Queen Irina`     After rebecca called the guards, and the guards came immediately and the guard wondered why did the princess called them. Rebecca told what's the matter to the guards. `When they went to the dinning room the parents disappeared`    After she went in the Palace when Irina didn't know she kept on finding for her parents. Irina saw her and found her then she called the guards and caught her and put her in the ice dungeon. When she was going to the ice dungeon she pass by the wishing rose room and she think it was really familiar.When she was in the ice dungeon her mother and father was there too. she asked about the wishing rose. when they were talking, Irina heard what they said. Rebecca was talking about the wishing rose in the wishing rose room. Just then when guards replace guards, the last guard fell asleep and Mrs. Browne sang a lullaby to make the guard sleep. Just when he fell asleep, Rebecca quietly took the key to open the gate of the dungeon. She took it and Rebecca unlocked it. They went out to the wishing rose room. `The Ice queen appeared and said, " Where do you think you are going trying to steal my precious rose?!"`   So Irina melted and she called "guards get that girl faster and get me the magical ice faster!!!" The guards chased her and run as fast as they could.`  She ran and nobody saw her and she was to fast she past the door and went to the ice dungeon. She thought to her self how come I'm at the ice dungeon. She was wondering. But she realized it was a trick if you go different ways it will lead you to the place before you went. And where's my parents?`  She ran to the potion lab quietly and not letting anyone know she was there.She tried finding the potion that said "trick in one destiny"`   After she used the potion which is not the one that said " never use" potion.Then she saw the instructions on how to use it. it said " 3 tiny drops on the wishing rose and you may use it. But every 3 drops will be used for 1 wish." So, Rebecca wished for someone who can tell how to defeat the Ice Queen, Irina. 2 seconds later, a bright light appeared and a scientist appeared. Then the wise scientist told how to defeat the Ice Queen, Irina incase she is frost again. Just then Irina was frost again!!! How did Rebecca know she was coming to the potion lab was the wise scientist heard her foot steps. Rebecca exclaimed, "hide... hide.. use your magic spells and protect me with your shield!!" "Alright!" replied the wise scientist. `Just when Irina came, the wise scientist used it's protecting shield but he forgot how!`    Then finally he remembered! He used his shield before it is too late. So he used it an Rebecca wasn't frost my the ice queen. So Rebecca did how the wise scientist told her to defeat the Ice Queen and she did it. So the Ice Queen was defeated once and for all! `But then the guards came also. They were also ice proof and the guards were made stronger than ever by the queen`     After the guards were defeated by the technics how to defeat the Ice queen, they both took Rebecca's parents out from the ice dungeon and went back to their home. Rebecca said that there is a good news and my best helper, the wise scientist is welcomed to join our christmas celebration! So they celebrated the christmas celebration!

Twists:

1.Rebecca heard a cry for help from her parents, her and her siblings were rushing to the dining room and saw the furious Ice Queen Irina. What would 3 of them do??

A. Then She would call the guards for help

B. She and her siblings would stay there and worry about everyone

B. Rebecca and her siblings was frozed by the Ice queen and to be frozen forever.

2.When they went to the dinning room the parents disappeared. Where will Rebecca go to find them??

A. Go in the Ice Palace with Irina knowing

B. Go in the Ice Palace without Irina knowing

A. Rebecca was caught and was also thrown to the Ice dungeon to suffer and freeze with ice forever with no food.

3. The Ice queen appeared and said, " Where do you think you are going trying to steal my precious rose?!" What happened after?

A. Rebecca had a fire lid for emergency so the queen will be warm instead of cold.

B. Rebecca took the flower and stole the flower in front of the queen's face.

B. The queen chase them and frost and smashed them and they turned into pieces. 

4. The guards chased her and run as fast as they could.

A. Rebecca found a faster path to went out of the palace.

B. she pretend to die.

B. The guard took her to queen Irina and frozed her and took the magic rose and it is Irina's to keep forever.

5.She thought to her self how come I'm at the ice dungeon. And where's my parents? She wondered

A. She will try finding her parent.

B. She will go back home not carefully

B. Irina saw her and frozed her to death.

6.She ran to the potion lab quietly and not letting anyone know she was there.She tried finding the potion that said "trick in one destiny" `

A. She use the potion and put it in the wishing rose and use it to with her wish.

B. She doesn't believe it and she tried the never use it and put it in the wishing rose.

B. she tell her wish and she was never to be seen ever again. 

7. Just when Irina came, the wise scientist used it's protecting shield but he forgot how! What should the scientist do?

A. He should go and cover Rebecca with his body.                                                                                            

B. He should remember the technics and the tips.

A. Those two were frost and the parent were frost too because there were no one to protect the parents and the workers in their house was under a spell to work for Irina.

8.But then the guards came also. They were also ice proof and the guards were made stronger than ever by the queen. What shall they do???

A. They should use the same thing on what they did to the ice queen since they are also ice proof.

B. The wise scientist used the protecting shield.

B.The guards defeated the shield and defeated those two and those two were never ever to be seen again.
